Q: I would prefer to call in my order rather than place it online:
By calling in your order, you are giving your credit card information to an actual Customer Service Representative, who then takes that information and enters it into our ordering system which sends the data securely via the internet (which is how every credit card processed anywhere in the world travels). By entering your own order online, you are utilizing a secure site that does not record your credit card information and no human has any knowledge of your credit card number.
Q: I can’t add the item to my cart:
Check to see if the item is marked "Low Stock" or "Out of Stock". If it states "Out of Stock", then we are truly out of stock on that item at this time. We would be happy to put you on five-day watch list, but that is all we can do at this time. You can submit that request here. "Low Stock" means we are getting very close to being out of inventory. You can click on "Check Inventory" and that will submit a request for our Customer Service group to check to ensure availability. We will respond back if we have it, and if we do not, we will give you the option of being placed on our five day watch list.
Q: Tax is being charged:
Wheels and Caps, by law, is required, as a business, to collect tax in states that we conduct business from a physical location. We must report those to the Federal Government.
Q: The system is not allowing me to complete the order:
Our system is set up so that the billing address and the shipping address must match if you are a new customer and/or have not previously registered with us. This is a safety measure that is taken to help prevent credit card fraud. Once you have created an account or placed your first order, then you may ship to a different address going forward.
Q: I need my item shipped outside the Continental United States:
We at Wheels and Caps are able to ship internationally. We suggest contacting a company such as BONGOUS.com to set up an account. Alaska and Hawaii will be able to utilize UPS, but keep in mind shipping rates will be higher and delivery time will take longer.
Q: How do I pay for my order?
Payment can be made with American Express, Discover, MasterCard, PayPal or Visa.
Q: How soon can I expect my order to arrive?
Once your order has been received, it could take 1-2 business days to process. There will be an additional 1-6 business days for shipping depending upon the shipping method you select.
Q: Has my order shipped?
An email notification will be sent to you that will contain tracking information once your item has been processed through the Shipping Department. Please keep in mind that this tracking number may not be "live" until UPS picks the package up later that night.
Shipping and Returns
Q: What are your shipping charges?
After adding an item to your cart, and before you completely check out, you will have the opportunity to receive a quote on both shipping and tax charges by clicking the "Estimate Shipping" button.
Q: My shipping address changed and I already placed the order:
We can only ship to the address used originally on the order. HOWEVER, if your order has not yet shipped, we can cancel the order and refund payment. You may at that point resubmit your order with your updated shipping address. (Prior to placing your order, please update the billing and shipping information on your account.)
Q: My address includes an APO, FPO or PO Box.
UPS cannot deliver to an APO, FPO or PO Box. We must have an actual physical shipping address.
Q: I would prefer to pick up my order myself:
This option is not available. Our warehouses are not set up to handle Customer Service-type calls or customers wishing to pick up their items. These warehouses are manned to pull and ship product only.
Q: Is there another method to ship, other than UPS?
No. We only utilize UPS.
Q: I received a damaged product – what should I do?
If your item was damaged in shipping, then you can review our complete Shipping Policy here to begin your claim through UPS. If the damage does NOT appear to have been a result of shipping, we ask that you contact Customer Service immediately here to get a Return Authorization Number and return shipping label.
Q: Can items be returned?
Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. We will not take any item after that time. You can review our full Return Policy here (Fees may apply).
Q: Explain "Reconditioned Wheel":
A reconditioned wheel is a wheel that has been taken in by a repair facility, spun and checked to ensure it is true (straight) and stripped of all paints and/or clear coats. It is then repainted to match the OEM colors and then machined if that wheel requires it. A clear coat is then applied to protect the finish.
Q: Explain "Compatible Wheel":
This is a wheel that has been replicated. It is not an Original Equipment wheel, but has been built based off of the OE version’s size, specifications, and appearance. The only difference between a replica or compatible wheel and an OE wheel is that there will be no OE stampings (OE Part Number) on the back of the compatible wheel.
Q: Explain "Used Wheel":
A used wheel is one that the repair facility has examined, spun to check for trueness (straight) and deemed it good enough to stock directly to the shelf to sell "as is". In all respects it is a good wheel, but it may have some minor scuffs and scratches.
Q: I need a wheel that will match mine:
All of our replacement Original Equipment wheels are color-matched to a like-new original equipment finish.
Q: What else comes with the product I am ordering:
- When you order a wheel, you will receive a wheel only. Nothing else comes with a wheel unless it is specifically stated in the product description.
- When you order a TPMS sensor, you will receive a TPMS sensor only. Nothing else comes with the TPMS sensor unless it is specifically stated in the product description.
- When you order a wheel cover, you will receive a wheel cover only. Nothing else comes with the wheel cover unless it is specifically stated in the product description.
Q: The wheel in the picture looks silver. Is that the color I will be receiving?
No. The picture in our listing is representative of the design and appearance of the wheel only and does not reflect the color you will receive. You will be able to select the finish and color of your item on the Product Page before adding it to your cart.
Q: I want to purchase a completely different wheel for my vehicle other than the OE-type wheels that came with it.
Size and offset (where available) is listed for each wheel. By selecting a different wheel than what your vehicle originally came with, you are taking full responsibility for any fitment issues that may arise. We suggest contacting your local auto dealer to ensure proper fitment as we cannot cross OE applications to alternate fitment applications.
